The Recruitment Co are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to work for an established, growing business in the Blackpool area.
Warehouse Operative salary: �23,200 per annum
Warehouse Operative hours: 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday 8am - 3.30pm Friday (39 hours per week)
Warehouse Operative Roles and responsibilities:

  • Picking orders using a WMS system, ensuring they are picked and built accurately onto pallets
  • Marking and/or placing a label on stock items ensuring compliance
  • Loading and unloading of 40ft containers onto pallets and stocked away ensuring that HSE specifications are met
  • Stock taking and taking up-to-date and accurate records of products, packages.
  • Removing completed and/or defective products from the warehouse, dealing with returns
  • Putting stock away & the safe loading of wagons using C/B or Reach Truck
  • Packing orders and preparing them for shipping
  • Ensuring that the warehouse environment is kept clean, organised, and well-maintained at all times


Warehouse Operative Qualifications / Experience Required:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, since he or she will be required to interact with team members, read and decipher purchase & works orders, and also report back to the warehouse manager/supervisor
  • Physical strength and stamina, since the warehouse operative will be required to move objects 15kg or more or goods from one place to another and operate necessary and required machinery efficiently
  • Strong time management skills, since the warehouse operative may be required to complete certain assigned tasks under strict deadlines
  • Attention to detail, since he/she must be able to locate and extract merchandise from shelves and storage areas
  • Good endurance skills, as the job is manual, and you will be on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Follow picking lists accurately to ensure products are ready for delivery in an efficient manner
  • Must have experience in a similar warehouse role
  • A FLT license is desirable but not essential
  • A Full UK Driving license is desirable
