Requirements
4 GCSEs A-C or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of experience working in a social care role.
Valid Driver's license is required
Be proficient with IT systems
NISCC registration is required
Postgraduate training and /or experience in relevant courses
Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting including an enhanced Access NI check and
compliance due to the nature of this work
Up to date Immunization records to complete a full occupational health review
Ability to build rapport with ease
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Effective time management and prioritization skills
Ability to work in fast paced user-centric environment
Responsibilities
Have an understanding of how to respond and report robustly and effectively to disclosures and
concerns of abuse
Deliver a service, which meets all organizational and professional responsibilities
Have an awareness of policies and procedures in respect of Child Abuse Investigation and Joint
Protocol procedure
Assist with the supervision of the young people's clothing, furnishings and household equipment
and undertake household and domestic duties
Support the young people by undertaking their general supervision and be involved in their
educational work and leisure activities
Accompany the young people, when required, on leisure activities, holidays, outings and visits
including attendance at appropriate church services
Transport young people to/ from school, on activities, outings etc.
Promote or undertake personal care duties in the case of young people with a disability where
required
Promote and implement a Positive Behaviour Support model and child centred approach
Contribute to, and participate in, reviews, staff meetings, in-service training, supervision and
individual programmes of care in respect of the young people.
