Primary School Teacher Key Responsibilities:

• Classroom Leadership: Take on the role of a Year 6 class teacher, providing comprehensive instruction across all subjects and guiding students towards academic excellence.
• Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging and stimulating lessons that align with curriculum objectives and foster critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
• Preparation for Transition: Support students in their transition to secondary school, providing guidance, reassurance, and academic preparation to ensure a smooth transition process.
• Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess student progress and attainment, providing constructive feedback and support to promote growth and development.
• Preparation for Assessments: Prepare students for statutory assessments, including SATs, through targeted instruction, revision activities, and confidence-building exercises.
• Collaborative Engagement: Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to support student learning and well-being, fostering a positive and inclusive school community.

Primary School Teacher Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold QTS and possess relevant experience teaching in primary schools.
• Year 6 Experience: Demonstrate experience or a strong interest in teaching Year 6, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities associated with this pivotal year group.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Have a strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and proficiency in planning and delivering effective lessons across subject areas.
• Classroom Management: Exhibit excellent classroom management skills, creating a positive and structured learning environment conducive to student learning and well-being.
• Passion for Education: Demonstrate a genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to the academic and personal growth of every student.
