Vision for Education have both a part-time and full-time opportunity for an Learning Support Assistant to work in a SEND setting within the Hereford area.
As an Learning Support Assistant, you will have a caring and patient manner, and will be expected to meet the needs of pupils with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties, and other associated needs including Social, Emotional and Mental Health within classes and on a 1:1 intervention basis.
You will be working with young adults on a 1:1 basis and so the ability to build positive relationships is required.
Previous experience isn’t essential, but the successful candidate will offer enthusiasm, flexibility, a sense of humour and a willingness to learn.
Working alongside our client schools, we will provide the successful Learning Support Assistant with high quality training and paid on the job experience.
Following a successful interview and pending suitability, safeguarding and identity checks, we will work to secure you a paid placement in a school to further develop your skills. You will be supported in deciding whether you’d prefer to work in primary, secondary or SEND provisions and will receive ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.
Prior to starting your placement, you will be required to complete a training programme delivered by Vision for Education and school leaders, which will give you the essential skills you need to work as a Learning Support Assistant.
