Head of Service - Business Support and Performance

One of our local authority clients are currently recruiting for a Head of Service - Business Support and Performance. This is a temporary contract for 3 months with possible further extension based on budget and performance.Main Purpose of Post/Job SummaryThe client is looking for a permanent Head of Service, Performance and Business Support to further develop and embed their approach to performance across Children and Young People’s Services.The role holder will be an experienced leader who will play a critical role in leading the performance framework for Children and Young People’s Services and the Safeguarding Children’s Partnership.Duties and Responsibilities Understanding performance, data and intelligence and using this to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
Effectively work with colleagues to implement a culture of performance management at all levels contributing to strategic and resource planning for the future. Lead role within the Senior Management Team on inspection readiness, turning performance into insight and developing our Self Evaluation process. Inspection frameworks for Children and Young People’s services, national indicators and data sets.
