On any given day as a Market Specialist, you will be collaborating with senior decision makers at client accounts, helping to close new sale opportunities, and providing critical feedback to help shape the development of our product. By championing the Bloomberg Professional Service at market events and through printed material, you become the face of our company!Comprised of former traders, portfolio managers, sales representatives, analysts, and more, our team of market specialists serve as the de facto market and asset class authorities. Our team not only heightens our user base’s experience and impacts sales revenue, we also play a vital role in improving the knowledge of our sales force and is a dedicated source of client feedback for our product development teams.The ESG market specialists team is key to positioning our growing suite of ESG products to our client base, and working hand-in-hand with the ESG product teams to deliver market-leading solutions as we aim to become one of the leaders in the ESG space and deliver on our founder's commitment and ambition in climate and beyond. Maintain check-in points, and self-report successes and challenges on these strategiesParticipate actively in new projects that drive departmental and firm-wide initiatives and goalsSeek out additional ways to make an impact, such as mentoring, involvement in training, running campaigns, and active involvement in product enhancementYou'll need to have:Deep technical understanding of either credit or equity marketsStrong background in ESG, including the integration of ESG and related topics into financial market participants workflowsExpertise in various ESG themes and regulations with the ability to articulate financial markets relevant insights and researchPractical experience using the Terminal, or similar product, and applicable asset class functionalityExtensive and strong relationships within your marketThe business insight required to use your knowledge & experience to make good judgement and quick decisions so as to tangibly impact the commercial success of our businessThe ability to convey complex ideas and solutions in a simple and concise way to audiences both large and smallA reciprocal and commercial mind-set, along with ability to operate within both departmental and company-wide initiatives, in a non-hierarchical structure without corporate titlesA willingness to travel across Europe as required in order to provide clients with a premier serviceOutstanding presentation, training and communication skills in EnglishWe’d love to see:An entrepreneurial outlook with the ability to identify and develop opportunities for other groups within the company and to build strong external networksProven consultative sales skills, including competitive market research, lead generation, prospecting, business development and closing salesExperience working cross functionally with several departments in a large financial institution either as an employee or as an external consultantAn interest in alternative data and its application to ESG analysisExperience of Python, capable of writing basic applications and discussing the process of building data-driven productsSustainability-related qualifications would be seen as a plusIf this sounds like you:Apply if you think we're a good match!
