We are seeking an experienced Employer Engagement Officer to join our Bootcamp team who will be responsible  or establishing and nurturing relationships with employers to facilitate job placements and career opportunities for our bootcamp graduates. You will serve as a bridge between our learners and the industry, advocating for their skills and connecting them with relevant employers. This role requires a proactive and strategic approach to employer engagement, as well as strong communication and networking skills. You will collaborate closely with our career services team and program instructors to ensure alignment between our curriculum and industry needs.



Responsibilities of the role:



As part of this role, you will:




  • Develop and implement an employer engagement strategy to build and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national employers.

  • Identify key industry sectors and target companies that align with the skills and interests of our bootcamp graduates.

  • Initiate contact with employers through phone calls, emails, and networking events to promote our bootcamp programs and discuss potential partnerships.

  • Collaborate with program instructors to understand industry trends and incorporate employer feedback into curriculum development.

  • Organize employer-led workshops, panel discussions, and networking events to connect learners with hiring managers and industry professionals.

  • Facilitate job placement opportunities for bootcamp graduates by matching their skills and experience with employer needs.

  • Maintain accurate records of employer interactions, job placements, and other relevant data in our CRM system.

  • Monitor and analyze labor market trends and employer feedback to identify emerging opportunities and areas for program improvement.

  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, career fairs, and other events to promote our bootcamp programs and expand our employer network.



Knowledge and Skills




  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the education sector, specifically bootcamp programs, and familiarity with the skills and competencies required for success in relevant industries.

  • Labor Market Understanding: Knowledge of local, regional, and national labor market trends, including in-demand skills, job growth sectors, and emerging industries.

  • Employer Relationship Management: Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with employers, including effective communication, negotiation skills, and conflict resolution.

  • Networking: Strong networking skills to expand and diversify the organization's employer network, including attending industry events, conferences, and networking functions.

  • Business Development: Proven ability to identify and pursue new opportunities for partnerships and collaboration with employers, including researching and targeting potential employer partners.

  • Data Analysis: Capability to gather, analyze, and interpret data related to employer engagement activities, job placements, and industry trends to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Curriculum Alignment: Understanding of curriculum development principles and the ability to collaborate with program instructors to align curriculum with industry needs and employer expectations.

  • Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills to coordinate employer engagement initiatives, events, and activities effectively.

  • Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software tools for managing employer relationships, tracking data, and reporting outcomes.

  • Cultural Competence: Sensitivity to diverse cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives when engaging with employers and learners to ensure inclusivity and equity in career opportunities.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information, negotiate terms, and build rapport with employers, learners, and internal stakeholders.

  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work in a fast-paced environment, and pivot strategies as needed to meet evolving employer and learner needs.

  • Passion for Education: Genuine passion for education and workforce development, with a commitment to helping learners achieve their career goals and contribute meaningfully to the workforce.
