We are seeking a skilled Curriculum Area Manager in this newly developed post to lead the development, growth and enhancement of our Health, Social Care & Social Work programs across the range of post sixteen provision. If you are passionate about education, possess expertise in the field, and have a track record of curriculum design, we want to hear from you. The successful candidate will be providing highly effective curriculum leadership and ensuring that the standards for the quality of education are the highest in the sector, you will be accountable for the health and safety in your area, having control of budgets, leadership and performance management of staff and other resources and will ensure the effective delivery of a high-quality learning experience for students. You will be responsible for the achievement of performance targets in relation to the recruitment of learners and the retention and achievement of those learners and holding accountability for creating and achieving growth in income across all the different funding streams relating to the curriculum subject areas. You will be required to maintain up-to-date knowledge of staff, student, and curriculum area performance, undertaking teaching responsibilities when required to do so and commensurate with the requirements of the post, in a way which demonstrates the high standards expected of colleagues and will have College Management Team responsibilities as a duty manager.For full details of key roles & accountabilities please view the Job Description attached.To be considered for this role it is essential that you can demonstrate the following:Relevant vocational qualification in at least one of the subject areas within this curriculum at level 3 or higher.Teaching qualification.Level 2 English and Maths.Knowledge of current developments across vocational, technical and apprenticeship provision.Relevant experience in at least one the curriculum areas.Ability to demonstrate successful leadership of diverse curriculum teams.Ability to develop an understanding of the usage of data to monitor and improve performance with strong analytical and data handling skillsHighly motivated to work with children, young adults, and vulnerable adults.Desire to put the learner first and continuously improve the learner experience.Please see the attached Job Description for the full Person Specification for this role. Salary: £47,021 - £60,173- depending upon experience and qualifications.Full time, all year round.Benefits include:35 days annual leave (plus Christmas closure and Bank Holidays)Good opportunities for professional development.Access to free staff car park.Extensive Employee Benefits Scheme including discounts at high street and on-line retailers.Onsite free gymEmployee Assistance ProgrammeOnsite catering facilities We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role, Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.Yeovil College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
